On May 25, 2025, California Highway Patrol Officers Molina and Hendry observed a vehicle traveling at 90 miles per hour (MPH) on Interstate 405 in Los Angeles. They initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 30-year-old man. He denied consuming alcohol, but Officer Molina performed the horizontal gaze nystagmus test on the man while he was seated in his vehicle and the results showed the man had been drinking. The man was asked to step out of his vehicle in order to perform the full battery of field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, the man refused to blow into a portable breath test machine. He was placed under arrest for DUI. While they discuss on body camera that this was his 3rd DUI arrest, the police report indicates it was actually his fourth DUI arrest since 2021. At the LAPD Van Nuys police station, the man provided 2 breath samples and the results were 0.133% BAC and 0.130% BAC. His charges are listed at the end of the video.
