#news #police #arrest #cops Report: 03/26/2022, Officer initiated a traffic stop on a maroon in color Hyundai Sonata. The reason for the stop was that the vehicle was showing no insurance and the registered owner was showing a probation violation warrant out of Arcade PD. Officer approached the passenger side of the vehicle and began to speak with the driver, telling her the reason for the stop. The officer asked for proof of insurance and her license and she said she did not have either one. The suspect stated her name and that name did return as having a valid license and even had a picture. Both the RO of the vehicle and the name she gave the officer looked very similar in the driver's license photos. The officer asked the suspect who the car belonged to and she said it was hers but she just got it from her sister. The officer asked if she had anything with her name on it and she provided me with one credit card with the name on it. The officer was going to write a ticket for no insurance and have the vehicle towed but before He wrote the ticket, the officer wanted to triple check if she was who she said she was. The officer asked her one more time if she gave me the correct name and she said no. She confessed to being the person they were looking for. She was placed into handcuffs (DLBB) and transported to the Clarke County Jail. The car was towed by Shuman's Services. The suspect also received a citation for no insurance.
