Episode 3 of our Gambling Moms series: Bristol, VA. This is so common it's shocking, another mom leaves her young child alone while she gambles in the casino. The 'mom' arrived to the Casino at 7:53 am, there was no brother in the car like she states in the video..it was just her and the child. Security noticed the child was alone in the vehicle at 9am, they looked at the security cameras and then located the mother playing casino games inside. That leads me to believe if they had not noticed the kid, she might have played games for several more hours. Child services was notified, they released the kid to a relative. The mom was arrested for one count of child abuse and neglect. They don't even live in that city, they live an hour south in Tennessee. She plead guilty to the charges, got a 5 year sentence with 3 Year(s) 8 Month(s) suspended. She's been in jail for the past 11 months and is scheduled to be released next month. It sucks the majority of the 5 years was suspended but at least she had to do a year and if she screws up at all she will be sent back to prison to serve the full sentence.
