A schoolyard confrontation over alleged infidelity quickly escalates, leading to an arrest and a student's emotional breakdown. On a June morning at a high school, officers responded to an altercation in the parking lot between two students. The incident was triggered by one student's accusation of infidelity against the other, leading to a physical assault involving a thrown phone and multiple strikes to the head. Following an investigation that included reviewing surveillance footage confirming the assault, officers determined the domestic nature of the case necessitated an arrest despite the victim declining to press charges. The accused student was subsequently taken into custody, charged with simple assault, and later released pending a future court appearance, with her case transferred to avoid potential conflicts of interest. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
