🎥 In today's copyrighted documentary, we report on an incident that occurred near Holbrook, Arizona. A 60-year-old New Mexico man's trip to Phoenix to meet a woman from a dating app unraveled one piece at a time. According to the police report, Peter Bela Voltig told a sheriff's sergeant that his 2005 Mercedes S500 broke down on the drive home, and rather than pay for the repair, he rented a U-Haul box truck and trailer to haul the car back to New Mexico himself. On Interstate 40 east of Holbrook, a sergeant with the county's criminal interdiction unit stopped the U-Haul for following too closely after watching the trailer sway across the lane lines. The sergeant issued a written warning — then asked for and received signed, voluntary consent to search both vehicles. According to the report, Voltig was visibly shaking throughout the stop, and while the sergeant searched the Mercedes, he watched through the back window as Voltig slipped a single key off his keychain — the hidden key that opens the trunk. "Trying to hide that key from me, weren't you?" the sergeant told him. "This ain't my first rodeo, bud." Inside the trunk, the report states, the sergeant found a heavy chemical smell, a spare tire that didn't belong to the car, and — beneath the trunk carpet — a backpack holding roughly 9.6 pounds of blue M-30 pills identified as suspected fentanyl, about 43,557 pills in total, with an agency-estimated street value of $217,800. Voltig was arrested and charged with transportation and possession for sale of narcotic drugs. Booking records list a five-year Department of Corrections term, and Arizona corrections records show he was admitted to state prison. The full story is in the documentary. This is the body-worn camera footage from the deputies who responded to the stop. 📍 Location: Interstate 40 near Holbrook, Arizona (Navajo County) 📂 Source: Official police and court records ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Traffic Stop Begins 00:46 Reasons for the Stop 01:47 Phoenix Dating Trip Story 04:48 Breakdown and U-Haul Plan 07:18 Interdiction Questions 08:43 Consent Form Signed 09:15 Search and Suspicious Key 10:20 Spare Tire Red Flag 11:33 Arrest and Hidden Drugs 12:53 Case Outcome and Wrap Up 📺 MORE LIKE THIS — watch the latest Breaking Bodycams documentaries: 👉 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL89-g15XsVc0WxE8UISQXCrCctoEPo46v ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📌 ABOUT BREAKING BODYCAMS Breaking Bodycams covers law enforcement encounters across the country, with a heavy focus on the Southwest and New Mexico.
