BE CAREFUL BUYING GIFT CARDS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON. IF you purchase one of these gift cards that's been altered there is nothing you can do about it, the store will not refund your money unfortunately. Another massive scam that is going on in the US. People steal a ton of gift cards from places like Walmart, they get all the numbers and information off the cards. Then they return them back to the store and shelves. When a customer purchases that card and it is activated, these scammers already have all the information to it and they steal whatever funds were on it. This guy had hit every Walmart in Ohio and the surrounding states after coming to the US illegally. He finally got caught when the local Sheriff department had a Shop with a Cop event going on with kids in the area. They noticed this guy and were able to arrest him. He was charged with 309 charges and ended up pleading guilty to 299 of them, was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
