On Wednesday around 11 a.m., PCSO received a call from a hiker on the Siphon Draw Trail in the Superstition Mountains. A couple with an 11-year-old child was visiting from out of state. The group hiked out of Lost Dutchman State Park, went off trail, got lost and ran out of water. Pinal County Search and Rescue deputies along with a United States Border Patrol BORSTAR agent flew to rescue them in PCSO’s Huey helicopter, Pinal Air 1. All three visitors were hoisted into the helicopter and dropped off at the state park. If people are going to hike this summer, they need to leave early and take trails that match their abilities. Hikers should bring plenty of water and a charged cell phone. *** APPLY NOW! The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is hiring Detention Officers, Deputies, Dispatchers and more!
