Summary of the Police Report: On 12/10/22, a white Chevrolet Equinox fled from Deerfield PD after being wanted for a burglary investigation. Deerfield Police terminated their pursuit and passed on the information. Later, a white Chevrolet Captiva with a similar license plate was spotted by an officer. The officer followed the vehicle and observed multiple driving infractions. Attempts to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful, and the driver increased their speed. Eventually, the vehicle jumped a curb and continued driving through grass before being located again. The vehicle eventually stopped due to damage and officers conducted a felony stop. The female driver, who was the sole occupant, refused to comply with orders and the windows of the vehicle were broken to remove her. The driver, identified as Yvonne B. Buckner, was found to be not wearing pants, underwear, or shoes. The stolen vehicle was confirmed by dispatch and later towed. Buckner was taken into custody and transported to the Lake Forest PSB Lockup. During the conversation with Buckner, she claimed that God told her to take the car and believed that the police were out to kill her. Buckner was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing/attempt to elude an officer, speeding, improper lane usage, and improper turn signal. Citations were also issued by Deerfield PD and Lake Bluff PD. Buckner was processed and informed of her charges, and she would remain in lockup until her court appearance for bond. ✅ This video was obtained through Public Records Requests.
