An officer observed a vehicle traveling 85 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, initiating a traffic stop around 7:48 PM. During the interaction, officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage from the driver, who admitted to consuming two glasses of wine and stated she was pregnant. Standardized field sobriety exercises were administered, which the driver failed to perform adequately, showing multiple indicators of impairment, including staggering during the Walk and Turn test and raising arms for balance during the One Leg Stand. Based on these observations and a BAC of 0.14% from an Alcotest, officers placed the driver under arrest for driving under the influence.
