Bodycam footage has just surfaced showing Playboi Carti being pulled over for reckless driving after allegedly hitting 133 mph in a 55 mph zone back in September 2022. In this video, you’ll see the full interaction, from the traffic stop to his attempted explanation, all captured by police. The clip reveals a tense moment between law enforcement and the rapper, as he claims he was rushing to an “emergency” while the officer holds him accountable for excessive speed. According to reports, the incident took place on the I-75/85 Southbound Expressway in Atlanta, Georgia. Authorities say they discovered a registered firearm in the vehicle at the time of arrest (though reportedly no round was chambered). This case sparked controversy because traveling 133 mph in a 55 zone is extremely dangerous and would be considered gross negligence in many jurisdictions. It also raises questions about celebrity encounters with police, how law enforcement handles high-profile stops, and the legal consequences of extreme speeding. 📌 Legal & Background Notes The footage leaked publicly in January 2024, after being withheld for over a year. Carti reportedly told the officer he was on the way to the airport due to a family emergency, an excuse that the officer did not accept. During the stop, officers found a Glock firearm (registered to Carti) in the vehicle. Despite the dramatic stop, reports indicate Carti emerged from the case with minimal long-term legal consequences. 👉 Subscribe to Police Bodycam Arrests HQ for more real police arrest videos, crime breakdowns, and shocking moments captured on bodycam. ⚠️Disclaimer: Our videos contain footage of real life incidents.
