On November 20, 2023, Roswell police officers attempted to stop a speeding motorist. By the time they got the 20-year-old driver stopped, guns were drawn, and she was immediately handcuffed and placed in the back of a patrol car. She claimed she was driving fast because she was upset. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and she was eventually arrested for DUI. At the police station, she submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.12% BAC. Her case is still open. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
