On August 17, 2024, law enforcement responded to a bar following reports of a patron causing a significant disturbance, verbally assaulting staff, and steadfastly refusing to leave the premises. Upon arrival, officers encountered a young adult woman, described as having long dark brown hair and wearing a black top with sheer panels and light-colored patterned shorts, sitting uncooperatively on the ground. Despite repeated attempts to de-escalate the situation, including offering her the option to "call a ride" and go home, the individual continued to use offensive language and reject assistance, highlighting a clear breakdown in self-monitoring and competency. Although the bar owner ultimately chose not to pursue charges for an alleged assault on a bartender, the individual's continued disruptive behavior necessitated an arrest. During the process, she became combative, actively obstructing efforts to apply handcuffs.
