***The video format for this dashcam is NOT IDEAL, and it's how it was provided from the City Atty Office, APOLOGIES*** Police said they conducted a traffic stop at the 2200 block of John Harden Drive on a vehicle for displaying fake tags and having a defective brake light. According to the JPD, the officer approached the vehicle and requested the driver's license, registration, and insurance. It was during this time that police said they discovered the driver had a warrant out for their arrest. The driver was instructed to exit the vehicle and that's when police said the driver drove off. The vehicle entered highway 67/167 southbound near Exit #6, police said. Shortly after, police said the driver left the road and crashed into a tree line. Officers said they called for medical and discovered the driver was unresponsive and trapped in the vehicle. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded and determined the driver had died. The JPD has requested the Arkansas State Police to investigate the crash.
