On July 07, 2023, at approximately 12:37 P.M I attempted to make a traffic stop on a 2008 Infiniti EX35 on Broadway and 14th Street. The Infiniti was bearing Tennessee tag Z367GG and showed to be expired. The Infiniti pulled into Dodge’s on Broadway, pulling next to a gas pump. As I exited my vehicle, the Infiniti accelerated and began to flee. The Infiniti crossed over Broadway, failing to yield to traffic and then traveled southbound on 15th Street. The Infiniti ran through the stop sign at 15th Street and Polk Ave. The Infiniti then made a left and traveled west on Harrison Avenue before heading south on 14th Street. The Infiniti began to slow so I pulled up to the passenger side of the vehicle and was going to attempt to use a Tactical Vehicle Intervention but the Infiniti stopped. The driver, a black male, fled on foot and ran eastbound. I was close to the suspect at this time and could recognize his facial features and the clothing the suspect was wearing. I stayed with the vehicle since it was occupied. The passenger was taken into custody. He stated he only knew the driver by the nickname “J”. West Memphis Police Department arrived on the scene and was able to give information about a possible driver. The potential driver was Cheezy Pulliam Harper. After receiving this information, I ran a driver's license check on Pulliam Harper. I positively identified Pulliam Harper as the driver of the Infiniti using the picture on his ID. The passenger we identified as Jaire Darden was released. Charges are currently being filed via affidavit, and an arrest warrant has been prepared and is under review by the Prosecutor to charge Pulliam Harper with Fleeing in a Vehicle, No Driver’s License, Expired Vehicle Tags, Failing to yield at Intersection, Failure to yield to a stop sign, and Reckless Driving.
