From the police report: En route to the address, we received reports that the female involved in the dispute was running in the streets and chasing after the complainant. When I arrived on the scene, the female was sitting next to another officer's vehicle, and she was later taken off the road and onto the sidewalk. After talking to the complainant he stated that they verbally argued in the home when she became very aggressive. Seeing that she was aggressive, he took his son and left the residence to try to separate himself. She began chasing after him while running through the street and going in and out of traffic on foot. Multiple eyewitnesses saw her running through the streets on foot and also called 911 to report the incident. I then spoke to her, she seemed hysterical, under the influence of alcohol, and kept screaming that she was being abused and being hit by him. Ofc Halak L#1249 and I went to detain her and while trying to put her in custody, she began actively resisting us and began actively kicking me and Ofc Halak. We began taking her to my patrol vehicle while she kept actively resisting and kicking. While trying to place her in the car, she tried to bite Ofc Halak and physically kicked me again in the lower abdomen. She would not sit inside the vehicle and kept trying to physically kick myself and other officers. I then drew my department-issued Taser and fired two probes at her, effectively achieving NMI. She was struck in the right thigh and left upper chest. She was then securely placed into the vehicle without further incident. While trying to gather other information from the incident, she was observed escaping her handcuffs and having her hands free inside the back of the vehicle. Rescue arrived on the scene to have her medically evaluated, and she was cleared. Ofc Rosenbaum was able to retrieve the probes, and they were collected and logged into evidence. She was placed back into handcuffs and kept asking us if we would put a gun to her head, and she just wanted to die. She again kicked Ofc Halak in the lower abdomen area. At that point, she was placed into leg shackles and placed back in the vehicle and transported to the hospital to be medically cleared. While being transported, she again escaped her handcuffs in the back of the car on the way to the hospital while screaming and banging her hands on the window in the back of the vehicle. The cuffs were placed back on her, and she was admitted to the hospital. After she was medically cleared at the hospital, she was transported to jail without further incident. After her actions on the scene, she will be charged with- F.S.S. 784.07 (2)(b) Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer - 2 counts F.S.S. 843.01 (1) Resisting arrest with violence F.S.S. 944.40 Attempting to Escape Confinement with Handcuffs A Domestic Incident Packet was filled out on the scene. UCI Ofc Whiting was on scene to collect evidence and take photos of the involved.
