On May 17, 2025, Rio Rancho Police Officer Roskos observed a vehicle traveling 65 miles per hour (MPH) in a 45 MPH zone. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 22-year-old woman, who happened to be topless. Officers were able to locate her top in the back seat of her vehicle. She refused to answer any incriminating questions, but she agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests. However, she could not comprehend the instructions for the one leg stand test, so the testing was terminated and she was placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence (DWI). At the police station, she refused to submit to an evidential breath test. This increased her charge to Aggravated DWI. She was also charged with speeding. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
