On February 22, 2026 Police responded to a call for service at 4 a.m. A woman told Officers that she needed the keys to a mutually owned vehicle at her estranged husband's house. After the man refused to let her in or surrender the keys, one of the officers encouraged the woman to kick the door in. When the woman was not strong enough to perform the task, the officer encouraged the woman's friend to kick it down. The officer proudly told the occupants of the house that it was lawful for the woman's friend to do what he did. This is where the trouble for the officer lies, and the department is investigating.
