Incident 1: The Airplane & Runway Escape (Pensacola Airport) Officers were dispatched to a commercial aircraft after the flight crew requested the removal of a female passenger due to disruptive behavior. According to statements from the flight attendants, the woman had been bothering other passengers, repeatedly switching seats to sit next to different men, and at one point was leaning heavily on a stranger as if harassing him. When officers arrived to escort her off the plane, she became highly argumentative. She repeatedly demanded to speak with the captain, requested that the officers call a supervisor or lieutenant, and claimed she could not miss the flight because she had a mandatory court appearance in Texas. The situation escalated dramatically once she was brought off the aircraft. While standing near the open gate, she suddenly broke away from the officers and ran. She successfully breached a restricted, alarmed fire exit and fled down a ramp directly onto the active airfield near the runway. After a brief pursuit on the tarmac, officers apprehended her. While being detained, she called 911 on her phone, falsely claiming that the officers were abusing her. She was ultimately charged with trespassing and airfield security violations. Incident 2: The Wawa Restroom Trespass (Charlotte County) The second incident involved a woman identified as Joseette Brockington, who had spent an extended amount of time occupying a restroom inside a Wawa convenience store. The store manager chose to legally trespass her from the property, and deputies were called to enforce the order. When deputies commanded her to leave, she refused to walk away quietly and instead stood outside the store arguing aggressively with the officers. Because she refused multiple explicit lawful commands to leave the private property, the deputies moved in to place her under arrest for trespassing. The woman immediately began screaming, physically resisting, and pulling away as deputies struggled to secure handcuffs on her. Once placed inside the police cruiser, she shifted her complaints to the handcuffs, screaming that they were too tight and rubbing against an existing bruise and cut on her arm. Deputies checked the cuffs several times, demonstrating that they were loose enough to slide up her wrist and fit two fingers inside. She continued to scream, curse, and refuse to cooperate with signing a vehicle release form to let her boyfriend drive her car away.
