Per State Patrol: "A Faribault man is in custody following a pursuit by the Minnesota State Patrol this evening. Shortly before 7 p.m., a state trooper attempted to stop a vehicle near Highway 13 and Highway 5 with license plates that were suspected of being stolen. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop for the trooper’s emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle continued to flee from troopers as it traveled northbound on Highway 169 from Highway 13. The driver exited to Cedar Lake Road from northbound Highway 169, when it crashed into another vehicle on the ramp. The driver attempted to continue to flee in the vehicle after the crash. A state trooper used a pursuit intervention technique to get the vehicle stopped. A Taser was used to assist with taking the driver into custody. The driver, identified as Jacob Stewart, 30 , of Faribault was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other injuries as a result of the crash. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of the city of Minneapolis. This remains an open investigation.
