Airport police gave a drunk woman a wheelchair to help her get home. She spit at them and damaged two patrol cars. Full airport bodycam below. On March 17, 2025, the manager of Dewar's Clubhouse in the C concourse at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers flagged down Lee County Port Authority police about a woman screaming at customers. Staff said she'd had two beers. She couldn't produce a boarding pass, only a Delta baggage tag receipt. When she stood up, she couldn't hold her balance. So officers brought a wheelchair and pushed her out to the ground transportation booth to find her a ride home. At the booth she grabbed one officer's wrists and squeezed, then grabbed a second officer's thumb. Rather than arrest her, officers placed her in protective custody under Florida's Marchman Act a law for people too impaired to care for themselves. No charge. No arrest. What she did next was recorded on three officers' body-worn cameras. She dropped to the ground, spit toward officers, and thrashed against marked patrol vehicle 3577 hard enough to leave scratches measuring roughly twelve by nine inches across the truck bed. Her purse strap was cut off with medical shears. Moved to patrol vehicle 4753, she scratched the rear passenger fender and kicked the interior window and cage. Both patrol cars were entered into the report as damaged property. Welcome to Detective Litty , your premier source for authentic and gripping body cam footage.
