A late-night traffic stop quickly unravels as an officer observes a driver exhibiting clear signs of impairment, leading to a series of challenging sobriety tests. An officer initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle driving without headlights and erratic patterns around 3:08 AM. Upon contact, the driver, a 25-year-old woman with distinctive dyed green hair, appeared incoherent and emitted an odor of alcohol. Field sobriety exercises revealed significant impairment, including an inability to maintain balance, failure to follow instructions, and an unusual instance of singing the alphabet during a verbal test. Based on these observations and inconsistent statements, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Later, a breathalyzer test confirmed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.16%, double the legal limit. She was subsequently processed and released to a sober individual. --- Transparency through the lens of the law. Subscribe for more real bodycam breakdowns and on-the-street encounters.
