On December 24, 2023, Tampa Police Officer Buck conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving with no headlights. Officers claimed that the 37-year-old driver exhibited bloodshot/watery eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage. She refused to answer questions or participate in standardized field sobriety testing. Officers determined that probable cause existed to arrest her for Driving Under the Influence. During a search of her vehicle, a controlled substance was discovered and a felony charge was added. She pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced to (1) 48 months of probation; (2) $1000 fine; and (3) 6-month license suspension.
