What started as a routine bicycle traffic stop in West Palm Beach quickly turned into a chaotic arrest when a woman refused to identify herself and resisted officers. Police stopped the bicyclist after she was reportedly riding in the middle of the roadway and interfering with traffic. Officers asked for her name and identification, but she refused to cooperate. The situation escalated when officers attempted to place her in handcuffs. According to the officers, she kicked during the arrest, and one officer said he took her to the ground. But the bizarre behavior didn’t end there. During the encounter and transport, the woman made a series of unusual statements, accused someone of stalking and trying to traffic her, and officers later said she spit in an officer’s face and continued fighting with police. She was eventually taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief, battery, and resisting with violence. According to the source information, she later accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 65 days in jail, 12 months of probation, and 50 hours of community service. The source also reported that she violated probation about a month later.
