On March 14, 2025, Oklahoma City Police Officer Long was monitoring for speeding vehicles. His LIDAR unit locked in on a vehicle allegedly traveling 109 miles per hour (MPH). He initiated an attempt to catch up to the vehicle and his LIDAR unit determined the vehicle reached a speed as high as 116 MPH. The vehicle was being driven by a 24-year-old woman who claimed she was delivering orders for Door Dash. She admitted to consuming one glass of wine, so she was asked to step out of her Kia in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. However, she was too impaired to complete the tests. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Oklahoma City police station for a breath test. Her two samples registered 0.23% and 0.24% BAC, which is 3 times the legal limit. Her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
