On December 10, 2025, the Rio Rancho Police Department responded to a domestic dispute at a residence. Corporal Tortorici initially made contact with the husband. He indicated that his wife returned to the house, was pounding on the doors and windows, and eventually made entry into the house through a doggy door. When Officer Salido arrived, officers made contact with the 60-year-old woman, who was in one of the bedrooms. They asked her to step outside and Officer Salido initiated a Driving While Under the Influence (DWI) investigation. The woman was eventually placed under arrest and was transported to the Rio Rancho Police Station. She agreed to take a breath test and the results of both breath samples were 0.17% BAC. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
