The child reported extensive physical abuse by an adult guardian, including being punched in the shoulder and neck, having their hair pulled, and being struck twice with an extension cord, allegedly for not cleaning their room. This grave account, corroborated by observed marks consistent with the child's claims and the child's visible distress, immediately triggered a police investigation and the detainment of the adult, identified as Londiwe Clayton.
