His radar picked up a 2013 Honda Civic traveling south at 64 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Officer Hickerson turned around to follow the car and noticed it nearly hit the center median. He turned on his lights to pull the car over, but it didn’t stop until it got closer to Cherry Road. After the car finally came to a stop, Officer Hickerson went to the driver's side to speak with the driver and three passengers inside. The driver was identified as 20-year-old Talia Valencia. While talking to the driver, Officer Hickerson noticed the smell of alcohol. Officer Justin Petross then approached the vehicle from the driver's side and spotted two open bottles of alcohol. One was Ice 101 schnapps, and the other was Smirnoff vodka. Sensing something was wrong, Officer Hickerson requested a DWI officer to come to the scene for help with the traffic stop. Officer Jessica Martinez arrived shortly after. Once there, she asked Talia to get out of the car and inquired about how much she had been drinking. Talia replied that it was “not that much.” However, since she showed signs of being impaired, Talia was given the chance to perform field sobriety tests. Officer Martinez began the evaluation with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, or HGN, test. As he conducted the test, he noticed that Talia's eyes were not tracking smoothly. He saw clear signs of nystagmus, which is the involuntary eye movement, particularly when her eyes reached the maximum angle and even before they hit 45 degrees. The next test was the Walk and Turn. In this test, Talia held her arms in front of her rather than at her sides, struggled to keep her balance, and did not walk heel-to-toe as required. For the One Leg Stand test, Talia had trouble raising her foot correctly, put it down several times, and didn't count out loud as instructed. The fourth test asked her to recite the alphabet from “C” to “R,” but she was unable to say the letters in the right order. Finally, she was supposed to count backward from 72 to 51, but she did not follow the correct sequence either. After noticing Talia's erratic driving, her unclear words, and her struggle with the field sobriety tests, Officer Martinez made the decision to arrest her for driving under the influence. Talia's car was taken to the impound lot, and she was taken to the Rio Rancho Police Department for processing. Once there, Officer Martinez explained the New Mexico Implied Breath Consent advisory form to her, and Talia agreed to provide breath samples. Officer Martinez began the process with the Intoxilyzer machine after Talia had been observed for 20 minutes. The results showed her blood alcohol content at 0.16% and 0.14%, far exceeding the legal limit of 0.02% for drivers under 21. Following her processing at the Rio Rancho Police Department, another officer took Talia to the Sandoval County Detention Center, where she was booked for driving while intoxicated. Officer Martinez issued her summonses for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, having an open container, and speeding. 18:37 Nah bro her counting was hilarious bro If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video .
