A routine voting day quickly turned violent when a man’s refusal to wait escalated into an assault on an election judge. On November 3, 2024, a 24-year-old individual caused a disturbance at a public office during early voting by refusing to comply with instructions to wait in line. The situation rapidly escalated when, after being directed to the back of the queue by election judges, the man attempted to push past them, began yelling profanities, and physically assaulted a judge, knocking off their glasses. Other patrons intervened to restrain the individual until law enforcement arrived.
