According to court documents reported by AZFamily, one alleged victim was a 37-week pregnant woman who was handcuffed inside the police station. In another incident, a handcuffed man at the Maricopa County booking facility was allegedly punched in the head while already being controlled by detention officers. And yes — the paperwork reportedly uses the phrase “distraction strike.” Because apparently “punching a handcuffed person” needed a little rebrand. Officer Carri Carrico has been charged, not convicted, and she is entitled to due process. But when the allegation involves handcuffed people, custody, video evidence, and felony charges, the public has every right to ask questions. 👀 Thin Blue Lies, Baby! #ThinBlueLies #PoliceAccountability #BuckeyeArizona #PoliceMisconduct #CivilRights #Bodycam #KnowYourRights #ArizonaNews #CopWatch #FirstAmendment
