He seemed to already know the alleged shoplifter by first name. She was being accused of stealing $800 worth of merchandise, including a $140 kitty litter box and $40 steaks. She was arrested for felony theft and claimed she had a medical condition that causes her to steal. She also implicated her boyfriend and claimed he would kill her if she came back empty handed. Officer Padrta pays a visit to the boyfriend's trailer and he denies all of the accusations. Nikkole was released from custody after about 6 hours. She subsequently pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 days in jail. However, in lieu of serving the jail time, she was allowed to complete 80 hours of community service. She could also be credited with 1 hour of community service for each 3 hours of paid employment on the condition that she stay out of trouble for 24 months. She was also required to pay a fine of $43.00.
