Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At approximately 11:37 PM on September 10, 2022, a witness reported to the police about a driver acting erratically in a black 2016 Jeep in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. The caller mentioned that the driver had damaged a sign on Harristown Road and was following the vehicle until the police intervened. Officer Stephen Buskiewicz responded to the call, found a vehicle that matched the description, and pulled over the driver on Fair Lawn Avenue near Burbank Street. He approached the car and identified the driver as 31-year-old Jacqueline Strasser. At the same time, Officers Michael O’Brien, Salvatore Marotta, and Bradley Pindyck arrived at the location. Officer Buskiewicz made contact with the driver and noticed signs of impairment. He requested that the driver step out of the vehicle. When he asked Jacqueline where she had been, she replied that she was at a friend’s house. Upon asking about her alcohol consumption, she said she probably had two drinks. Suspecting that Jacqueline might be impaired, he asked if she would do some field sobriety tests. Jacqueline agreed, and he started with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. While Officer Buskiewicz was performing the tests, Officer O’Brien approached the witness who had reported the erratic driving to gather more details. After completing the HGN test, Officer Buskiewicz chose to stop the field sobriety tests for her safety. He then informed Jacqueline that she was being arrested for driving under the influence. Officer Marotta handcuffed Jacqueline and led her to Officer Buskiewicz’s patrol car. When her vehicle was searched, an open container of alcohol was found inside. Following the search, her car was impounded for a required 12-hour hold as per John’s Law. Officer Buskiewicz then took Jacqueline to the Fair Lawn Police Department for additional processing. After Jacqueline was processed at Fair Lawn Police Headquarters, she received several summonses. These included operating under the influence, unsafe operation of a vehicle, and driving while intoxicated (DWI) within 1,000 feet of a school. Court records show that on September 14, 2022, the DWI citation was dismissed. On December 14, 2022, Jacqueline pleaded guilty to the charges of operating under the influence and unsafe operation of a vehicle. As a result of her guilty plea, she was fined $440 for unsafe operation and $690 for operating under the influence.
