Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation. The Background Stuart Beck (then ~21, later reported as 24–25) and Michael Conrad (20) were both romantically involved with the same woman, Kaitlyn Nash-Koehler. Beck and Nash-Koehler began dating in January 2021; he moved into her Bay Cove Apartments unit in Clearwater, Florida, in February 2021. His name remained on the lease. Their relationship deteriorated; Beck moved out in March 2022 (taking most belongings except a TV). Nash-Koehler later described issues with his behavior when drinking. Nash-Koehler began dating Conrad a few weeks after Beck moved out. She and Beck still occasionally spent time together (including a sleepover around July 4, 2022, after which she gave him a key to lock up). Prosecutors described the motive as jealousy. A judge later characterized the incident as stemming from a “raging fit of jealousy” and anger after Beck recognized Conrad’s truck at the apartment. The Crime Date/time: Early morning of July 6, 2022 (just after 2 a.m.). Location: Bay Cove Apartments, 19135 U.S. Highway 19 North, Clearwater, Florida (Nash-Koehler’s unit; Conrad was present but it was not his apartment). Nash-Koehler and Conrad had been drinking and smoking marijuana before going to bed around midnight. She put her phone on “do not disturb.” Beck arrived via rideshare. He texted/called Nash-Koehler (who told him to leave), recognized Conrad’s truck, then kicked in/broke down the front door and entered the bedroom. Nash-Koehler (in underwear) stood between the men; Beck forced his way in. Conrad exclaimed in surprise; Beck shot him at close range (gun pressed against the body, which muffled the sound). Conrad was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital. Beck fled on foot, later took another rideshare. He told investigators he had hidden the gun (in a purse) deep in the woods. The Investigation Clearwater Police quickly identified Beck as the suspect. He was located and arrested the evening of July 7, 2022, in Pasco County and charged with first-degree murder. Key evidence and statements: Rideshare records showing travel to the apartments ~2 a.m. and later departure; Beck’s statements to detectives (admitting he went there with a backpack containing a pistol after recognizing the truck, claiming concern for trafficking/risk to Nash-Koehler, later saying “I made a mistake… I didn’t want to kill anybody”); close-range nature of the shot; witness (Nash-Koehler) account of the entry and aftermath; neighbor reports of bangs/slams/scream. Beck’s name on the lease and occasional prior visits were noted, but investigators and later the court found he lacked a legal right to force entry that night after moving out and being told to leave. Related: Conrad’s grandmother, Peggy Camarillo, was later charged with witness tampering for social-media threats against a person present at the complex. Conviction and Sentencing Beck has remained in custody since shortly after the 2022 arrest. In July 2025, a Pinellas County judge (Philippe Matthey) rejected Beck’s Stand Your Ground immunity claim after a hearing, ruling he did not have a right to be in the apartment and that the use of force was not reasonable; the case proceeded to trial. The judge found the incident driven by intent to confront Conrad amid jealousy. First-degree murder trial began with opening statements around mid-July 2026 in Pinellas County. Prosecutors alleged the killing was “fueled by jealousy.” Beck faced a mandatory life sentence if convicted as charged. As of the most recent available reports (mid-July 2026 trial coverage), no verdict or sentencing had been publicly reported. The case remained pending resolution by jury.
