When Officers arrived, they immediately noticed that the 37-year-old driver seemed confused and nervous and her eyes were red and watery. After the vehicle was safely pushed into a nearby parking lot, Officers asked the woman to exit her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. Because none of the Officers present were certified to give the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, only the walk and turn and one-legged stand test could be performed. At the conclusion of these tests, the woman was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence. A search of her vehicle revealed open containers of alcohol. She subsequently refused to submit to a breath test. Her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
