A summer day at the beach takes an unexpected turn when officers respond to reports of public indecency. Patrolwoman Amy Beringer and other officers were dispatched to Ocean Avenue around 12:36 PM on June 12, 2025, following a report of two individuals engaged in a lewd act on the beach. Upon locating the couple, one individual was observed topless, and their actions were corroborated by witness statements and a bystander's video. Both individuals were subsequently advised of their arrest for lewdness, allowed to dress and gather their belongings, then transported separately to the police department for processing. During the transport, an officer inquired about the air conditioning setting, confirming it was at maximum. Patrolwoman Beringer also collected written statements from multiple witnesses.
