On December 30, 2023, a Grundy County deputy stopped a couple after they rolled past a stop line at night — but the moment he approached their vehicle, the pair refused to cooperate. What should’ve been a simple warning instantly escalated as both the husband and wife argued, ignored commands, and tried to block the deputy from seeing inside their car. Once the wife resisted and was taken into custody, deputies focused on the husband — and found exactly what the couple had been hiding: contrabands, paraphernalia, and more than $3,200 in cash, consistent with distribution. Both were arrested on multiple charges, including resisting, obstructing, and possession with intent to deliver.
