On August 12, 2023, Cuyahoga Falls Police Officer Dobney stopped a vehicle for having white emitting taillights. When he approached the 23-year-old driver, he observed a marijuana blunt in plain view. He called for a backup officer and then asked the woman to step out of the vehicle to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was arrested for being impaired and refused to consent to a blood draw. After being transported to the police station and being processed, Officer Dobney gave her a ride to a friend's house. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
