REAL POLICE BODYCAM footage shows Des Plaines Police officers struggling with a combative woman who threatens legal action while physically resisting arrest at Rivers Casino. This bodycam video captures the chaotic scene as she denies kicking officers despite being recorded doing so. In this police bodycam footage, 38-year-old Stephanie Neff from Lake in the Hills launches into a barrage of legal threats and profanity: "My lawyer will fucking eat you alive. Get off me. Get off me before I tell my lawyer what you're fucking doing." The bodycam clearly captures her escalating hostility as she continues, "Get off me you stupid piece of shit. You are not taking me." When Neff realizes she's being recorded, she attempts to use this to her advantage: "Get off me if you don't want my lawyer. My lawyer will. Record this." The officer calmly responds, "That's fine. We're recording too," highlighting how bodycam footage serves as protection for both officers and the public. Despite clear evidence being recorded, Neff repeatedly demands: "Get off me. Get off me. I've asked you 5 times to get off me. And it's not happening." When officers note her continued resistance, stating "You keep kicking. Stop," she blatantly denies her actions: "I'm not kicking you, you stupid idiot." The officer counters with specific evidence: "You kicked me 4 times." Neff continues making legal threats: "My lawyer is going to get you," while officers attempt to de-escalate: "Okay can I talk to you for a second? Let me talk. Stop yelling. Stop yelling." According to police reports, this incident occurred at Rivers Casino in Des Plaines on April 15, 2024. After Neff was placed under arrest for multiple confrontations with security and officers, she actively resisted being placed in handcuffs. Once finally secured and escorted to a squad car, she kicked a police sergeant and another officer in the legs while in the backseat of the car. This police bodycam footage documents how Neff not only physically assaulted officers but then immediately denied her actions despite being recorded - a common pattern that bodycam technology helps address in modern policing. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved two counts of felony aggravated battery to a peace officer, felony aggravated assault to a peace officer, and a misdemeanor count of resisting a peace officer.
