On November 16, 2024, Ohio Highway Patrol Trooper Lawson stopped the driver of a vehicle who failed to use her turn signals. The driver was a 23-year-old woman. The police report claims that Trooper Lawson detected the odor of alcohol coming from the woman's breath. She later admitted to consuming two Angry Orchards. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which included a portable breath test. The result was 0.119% BAC. The woman was arrested, handcuffed, and placed in the back of Trooper Lawson's patrol vehicle. That is when reality set in and the woman reacted by having a panic attack. She was eventually transported to the Miami County Sheriff's Office for an evidential breath test. The result was 0.151% BAC.
