On February 5, 2026, Rio Rancho Police Officers responded to a single car motor vehicle accident. Officer Rios arrived first and learned that the 56-year-old driver had consumed 2 beers earlier in the evening. Officer Rios called for Officer Roskos to assist her by conducting a Driving While Under the Influence (DWI) investigation. When Officer Roskos arrived, he requested that the driver perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was later arrested for DWI and Careless Driving. At the police station, she provided 2 breath samples which both registered 0.09% BAC. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
