The Glendale Police Department's Neighborhood Response Squad is out for a shift focusing on street-level issues when they spot a suspicious truck with no license plate. The driver is instantly cagey, revealing a nervous demeanor and a history of serious felonies. When officers ask him to step out, he refuses repeatedly, escalating a simple traffic stop into a physical altercation. Officers eventually find a hidden knife and brass knuckles, leading to an immediate arrest for resisting. The action continues when a car ignores a traffic stop, maintaining a slow pace while deputies attempt to box it in. After successfully disabling the vehicle with stop sticks, the driver, a habitual traffic offender with a suspended license, is taken into custody, claiming he was only trying to reach his wife's job for safety.
