On September 13, 2023, St Johns County Sheriff's Deputy Green stopped a 25-year-old woman for speeding. The woman seemed to believe that she could speed on a bridge as long as she was passing other vehicles. Deputy Green had concerns that the woman might be intoxicated, so she was asked to step out of her vehicle. She agreed to perform the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, but she wanted to call her attorney before completing the other 2 field sobriety tests. Deputy Green would not allow the woman to call anyone during the middle of his investigation and the woman was placed under arrest for Driving Under Influence (DUI). While sitting in the back of the patrol vehicle, she advised Deputy Green that this would be her 2nd DUI arrest. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
