On March 21, 2025, Athens Police Officer Braglin observed a vehicle being driven the wrong way on a one-way street. He activated his emergency lights and exited his police vehicle in order to make contact with the 27-year-old woman driving the vehicle. She attempted to continue driving, not realizing that she was being stopped by the police. When asked for her driver license, she stated that she didn't have it with her. She admitted that she had consumed alcohol, so she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. When she refused, she was immediately placed under arrest for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI). At the police station, she admitted that she had recently been arrested for domestic violence and was under court order not to drink alcohol. She submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.105% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
