Body-worn camera footage from the Rochester Police Department shows the events of March 11, when officers and a Crisis Response Team social worker responded to a domestic-related 911 call involving a man in mental distress. After speaking with 47-year-old Cleavon White, officers and the social worker determined he posed a threat to himself and others and moved to place him on a 72-hour mental health hold. White refused to go to the hospital, and a struggle broke out as officers tried to take him into custody. During the struggle, White grabbed an officer's holstered gun, which discharged. A second officer, Josiah Duit, then fired his weapon, fatally wounding White.
