A woman checking out at Walmart noticed a man crouching nearby with his phone suspiciously angled toward her. When police confronted him, he claimed he was only looking for a charging cord—and insisted that his phone had conveniently factory-reset itself and deleted everything. Unfortunately for him, Walmart’s surveillance cameras told a very different story. His explanations quickly began contradicting each other, investigators discovered that his phone had been wiped after police were called, and eventually, he admitted exactly what he had done. But the disturbing update that came after this arrest proves this wasn’t simply one “stupid decision.” Watch as we break down the lies, the evidence, his father’s outrageous defense, and the confession that finally exposed the truth.
