It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: It was September 2, 2024, around 12:27 AM. Officer Dennis Cameron drove south on Knickerbocker Road. He saw a dark van. A silver 2020 Toyota Camry followed it closely. Cameron turned around to follow the Camry. The Camry crossed the double yellow lines. It passed the van in a bad way. The Camry kept going north. Officer Cameron turned on his lights. He wanted to pull the car over. The driver stopped on Knickerbocker Road. This was near Durie Avenue in Closter. Cameron told dispatch about the stop. He walked to the car and spoke to the driver. The driver's name was Bryanna. Her boyfriend told Officer Cameron he knew Bryanna as he neared the car. However, he said he was told to drive on. Approaching Bryanna, the officer smelled alcohol. He asked Bryanna for her license and registration. She could not find everything. Bryanna talked to her boyfriend on the phone. She looked for her papers. After a few minutes, Officer Cameron told her to get out. He suspected she was drunk. He asked Bryanna to do some tests. Officer Nolasco got to the scene to help. Officer Cameron then asked Bryanna about drinking. Bryanna said she was driving home from work. She told him she had one drink. Officer Cameron then did the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. He saw issues with her eye movement. Her eyes lacked smoothness. He saw the start of nystagmus before 45 degrees. Next, she did the Walk and Turn Test. Bryanna did not touch heel-to-toe. The last test was the One Leg Stand. She did not lift her foot right. She put her foot down too early. Bryanna’s driving was all over the place. The smell of booze filled the air. She even said she had been drinking earlier. Bryanna failed the roadside tests, so she was arrested. Her car was towed and held for 12 hours because of John’s Law. Officer Cameron took Bryanna to the police station. He read her the rules for drivers. Then, she agreed to take a breath test. The test showed her alcohol level was 0.11%. The legal limit is only 0.08%. Bryanna was processed, then released. Her boyfriend's mother signed a warning form. She took responsibility for Bryanna before court. Officer Cameron then gave Bryanna several tickets. These included drunk driving and reckless driving. She also got tickets for careless driving and improper passing. Other tickets were for following too close and lane violations. Finally, she was cited for driving an unregistered car. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
