On 31 December 2024, two masked gunmen forced a Brink's driver back into his truck outside an EECU credit union in Fort Worth and took about $662,000. Days later, in January 2025, a car ran a red light in Gainesville, Texas; officers found a Springfield XD .40 handgun that prosecutors say was used in both robberies, marijuana and $98,785 in stolen cash, and arrested the passenger, former Brink's employee Isaiah Warren. Warren, 25, was convicted of robbery affecting commerce and brandishing a firearm in a crime of violence, and on 27 April 2026 a federal judge sentenced him to 171 months in prison and $696,700 in restitution; the second robber has not been publicly named.
