A routine traffic stop for erratic driving quickly uncovers signs of impairment, leading to a challenging roadside investigation. Deputy Miller observed a vehicle driving erratically and crossing the center line, prompting a traffic stop. The driver, a young adult woman, initially denied consuming alcohol but later admitted to drinking a Budlight Seltzer. Based on observed incoherence and the odor of alcohol, field sobriety exercises were administered. She exhibited multiple indicators of impairment during these tests and a subsequent PBT indicated a BAC of 0.125%.
