On October 18, 2024, police officers in Milwaukee attempted to question a man parked outside a high school. The suspect refused to exit the vehicle and fled the scene, forcing officers to smash his window as he drove away. The chase that followed took police through active school grounds, nearby neighborhoods, and public roads — at times reaching over 60 mph. Officers ultimately terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns. Investigators later used bodycam and facial recognition footage to identify the suspect as Anthony Turnage, who was linked to a stolen vehicle and had multiple outstanding warrants. He now faces charges including fleeing police and recklessly endangering safety.
