It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: At about 3:14 AM on February 4, 2023, Officer Fiore from the West Windsor Police noticed a car parked in front of Maurice Hawk Elementary School. When he turned on his lights and walked up to the car, he saw the driver was asleep in the front seat with the vehicle still in “drive.” Fiore knocked on the window several times before the driver, identified as 26-year-old D. Gribbon, finally woke up. He then told Gribbon to put the car in park and get out. Gribbon informed the officer she was on her way home. When asked if she had been drinking, she admitted to having some drinks earlier at the Ivy Inn in Princeton, New Jersey. Because she acknowledged drinking, Patrolman Fiore offered her a chance to do field sobriety tests. However, Gribbon refused to take part in the exercises and told the officer, "You can arrest me." Gribbon was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to the West Windsor Police Headquarters for processing. At the station, she mostly stayed silent and refused to take a breathalyzer test. After completing the processing, she was released to her father, who signed the Potential Liability Warning form for her. Gribbon received several summonses: driving while intoxicated near a school, refusing breath testing, reckless driving, delaying traffic, driving an unregistered vehicle, and not notifying the DMV about her address change. 2:07 that car was over the line.
