Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: On May 28, 2024, at approximately 5:22 PM, officers from the Hoboken Police Department responded to a report of shoplifting at ShopRite located on 900 Madison Street. Upon arrival at the scene at around 5:35 PM, they proceeded to the loss prevention office. There, they engaged with the store’s detective and encountered the suspected shoplifter, identified as 36-year-old Alexander. The loss prevention official reported to the officers that the individual had attempted to exit the store without paying for items valued at $187. Subsequently, Alexander was placed under arrest for shoplifting. A search of his person yielded possession of prohibited items. Following this, he was handcuffed, searched, and escorted to the patrol car. Alexander was transported to the Hoboken Police Department for further processing. At police HQ, he was searched in more detail. He was charged with shoplifting under 2C:20-11B(2) and also charged with Use or possession with intent to use under 2C:36-2. He was subsequently remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
